ICO & GDPR Compliance
Our biometric devices do store biometric data. However the data stored can’t be used elsewhere. A random matrix of data is taken from a user’s face (rather than a full identifiable scan), an algorithm is applied and then the data is encrypted. Elements of a face go in, but you cannot get any facial elements back out. This data isn’t readable by any other type of device.
To store biometric data explicit consent is required from all users. You can easily be compliant with our devices, as all of our facial recognition devices have secondary identification options of RFID Tag/Card or ID & PIN, so any Users who do not consent can use one of these options. By law you must offer these other options.
Ideal for Manual Workers, Factories & Manufacturing
To clock IN or OUT you just have to walk in front of the device, you don’t need to touch it – so worn, dirty or wet hands are not an issue (which you would have with fingerprint devices).
