So, as you’ll recall we are sponsoring friend of Idency and darts prodigy Rob Adnams in his quest to join the big leagues. The aim is to go Pro and get on the PDC tour with the major players.

Rob has been playing brilliantly over the last few months and his game is becoming as sharp as his darts!

So far in 2023, Rob has:

  • Won his first Man of the Match playing for Oxfordshire County, taking the trophy 4-0 and for the first two legs of the match averaging an incredible 121 – easily pro-standard!
  • Won another award for playing 25 matches for Oxfordshire
  • Won a pairs competition in May against another County player
  • Took the Team Cup for his Superleague side with convincing wins to progress the team to the Semi-Finals

And in the last few weeks (since August 2023), Rob has been competing in new weekday competitions in Oxfordshire called The Vaults.

What are The Vaults?

Vaults matches are played around the county in field sizes of 24 players each night. Players are split into four random groups of six. The top 2 players from each group go through to the last eight, who play a straight knockout to win the night and a cash prize.

Rob is also earning ranking points for his successes in Vaults matches, and these could see him going through to the south east regional knockout. Winning that event will give him the chance to play on the Modus Super Series – and that’s on the telly. There’s a lot to play for!

Everything is gearing up to the chance to get into Q School in January – something Rob missed out on last year due to Covid. So we’re crossing fingers and avoiding ladders and that in the hope that he can make it through!

More updates to follow. Keep it going, and stay frosty Rob!
