Nest Multiple Homes Management

Can you use Nest in multiple homes?

You can use the Nest app to add more Nest products to your home, as well as create a second home and add products to that. Here’s how you do it.

You can have a total of two homes on your Nest account:

  • You can be the owner of one or both homes on your account (such as your residence and a holiday home).
  • You can be invited to access up to two Nest homes with your Nest account. When you accept an invitation from someone to access their Nest home, the home will automatically be added to your Nest account.
  • Each Nest home can have up to ten people sharing access, including the owner.

If you need access to more than two homes, you’ll need to create a new Nest account with a different email address. You can create as many Nest accounts as you wish, as long as each account uses a different email address. You can then create, or accept invitations for, up to two more homes with each account.

There’s a maximum number of Nest products that you can have in each home. See the table below for details:

Nest ProtectsMaximum of 18 per home
Nest CamsMaximum of 10 per home
