The high image quality fingerprint reader is FBI Certified as meeting FIPS 201 (PIV) and Mobile ID FAP 20 requirements.
Deesigned primarily for FIPS 201 (PIV) applications, SecuGen Hamster Pro Duo SC/PIV is also suitable for any contact smart card application such as physical access control, personal identity verification, and national ID programs where dual factor authentication is needed for higher security without sacrificing convenience.
With Auto-On™ the Hamster Pro’s automatic finger placement detection technology automatically checks for the presence of a finger. When used with Auto-On-compatible software, the Hamster Pro will turn on and scan your finger as soon as you touch the sensor – all without having to prompt the system.
Smart Capture™ ensures quality fingerprint scanning of difficult fingers. By automatically adjusting the brightness of the sensor, Smart Capture allows the Hamster Pro to capture high quality fingerprints from a wide range of traditionally difficult fingers, including those from dry, wet, scarred or aged skin, and even in bright ambient conditions such as under direct sunlight.
