ZKTeco: Daylight Saving Time

How to set Daylight Saving Time Settings on a ZKTeco Device

Please note: If you already have DST settings setup for this year, you can leave this until March the following year, these settings need to be updated yearly before March and after October.

Firstly, ensure that the ZKTeco device is powered on and connected to your network.

If you have an Admin setup on the device, you will need to know this user’s ID and Password to be able to login to the device Admin menu

  • If you have an Admin set on the device, you will need to press the 3 Line menu or M key on devices that are not touch screen
    • If you have the Admin user there you can get them to log you in using their Face, Palm, or Finger depending on the device
    • If not, you can select the Keyboard icon in the top right of the screen and enter the Admin users ID
    • It will then ask you which verification mode you want to use, select the Key icon at the top and enter the Admin password for the user
    • You will now have access to the Admin menus on the device
  • If you do not have an admin account on the device, you can press the 3 Line menu or M key and automatically be taken to the admin mine
  • Everything else from this point on will be the same process
  • Go to Settings > Date Time menu and edit the following Settings
    • Timezone should be UTC+0:00 for UK (select your country timezone)
    • Enable Daylight Saving Time
    • Daylight Saving Mode should be set to By date/time
    • Click on Daylight Saving Setting
      • Start date will be the March date, format MM-DD
      • Start time will be 01:00
      • End date will be the October date, format MM-DD
      • End time will be 02:00
    • This year’s dates (2024) would be 03-31 and 10-27
    • Next year’s dates (2025) would be 03-30 and 10-26

You can now go back to the Main Screen where you would clock in and make sure the time is correct for the given date
