Uni-Ubi: Daylight Saving Time
How to set Daylight Saving Time Settings on a Uni-Ubi Device
Please note: If you already have DST settings setup for this year, you can leave this until March the following year, these settings need updating yearly before March and after October unless using weekly DST.
Firstly, ensure that the Uni-Ubi device is powered on and connected to your network.
- To update or setup DST settings on a Uni-Ubi device, you first need to login to the Admin menu for the device
- Default Username: Admin
- Default Password: 12354
On the Device
- From here go to the Settings > System > Time and Date menu
- In here set the following for each setting
- Timezone: GMT+0 for UK (select your country timezone)
- The date and time should already be correct because the devices is connected to an NTP server by default
- Enable Daylight Saving Time
- Timezone Interval: This should be set to the current year’s DST dates and is in the following format, MM-DD (March) – MM-DD (October)
- This year’s dates (2024) would be 03-31 and 10-27
- Next year’s dates (2025) would be 03-30 and 10-26
On the Web Portal for Week based DST
- We think weekly is a better option as you can set it once and it will always select the last weekend in march and october to change the times
- To login to the device webporal you need to be on the same network as the device and use its IP address and the port 8090 e.g. http://192.168.1.121:8090/
- The login is:
- Username: Admin
- Password: whatever your password is by default this is 12354
- Go to System Settings > Time and Date and look for Daylight Saving Time
- Enable it and set the format to Week
- Start Time settings should be: March, Last Week, Sunday, 01:00
- End Time settings should be: October, Last Week, Sunday, 02:00
- Set the Offset time to 60 minutes so it goes back and forward 1 hour
- Click Save to enable the settings and you are ready to go
You can now go back to the Main Screen where you would clock in and make sure the time is correct for the given date
