Go2Clock: Enabling and Managing 2FA
Cybersecurity is increasingly important as threats continue to evolve. Enabling Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) provides an additional layer of security, preventing unauthorised access to important and sensitive data held within your Go2Clock account by requiring users to verify their identity using a code sent to their email address when logging in.
Go2Clock currently supports 2FA through email verification.
Step 1: Enable 2FA
- Navigate to System Settings
- Seleccionar System Config Settings
- Seleccione 2FA – Two Step Verification pestaña
- Enable the 2FA switch
- Seleccionar Actualizar to save the changes
Once enabled, whenever a user logs into Go2Clock, they’ll receive a verification code by email. The user must enter this code to complete the login process. 2FA codes remain active for 10 minutes before expiring.
Step 2: Add the Whitelisted IP Address
You can configure IP Whitelisting from the same 2FA – Two Step Verification tab. It allows you to specify trusted public IP addresses from which users can access Go2Clock without needing to enter 2FA codes.
- Navigate to System Settings → System Config Settings → 2FA – Two Step Verification tab
- Seleccionar Manage IP Whitelist
- Enter the public IP address that should be permitted to access Go2Clock without 2FA
- Set the expiry date
- Enter a note to identify which location has been whitelisted
- Seleccionar Save to create the whitelist
Whitelisted IP addresses can be disabled, or have their expiry date changed, from within the Manage IP Whitelist window.
A public IP address is different from the internal IP address assigned to individual computers or devices on your company’s network. If you’re unsure of the public IP address to use, contact your IT or network administrator.
