HID DigitalPersona 4500 Fingerprint Reader

The HID DigitalPersona 4500 Fingerprint Reader (formerly Crossmatch U.Are.U 4500 part number: 88003-001) is connected via a USB cable and is perfect for individual desk top users, as well as multiple users in shared environments.

Its compact design conserves desk space in enterprises, and its professional, modern appearance looks elegant in point-of-sale environments. With silicone coating, it reads a wide range of fingerprints accurately and rapidly regardless of placement angle.

The high-quality metal casing resists unintentional movement. The DigitalPersona 4500 Reader utilises optical fingerprint scanning technology to achieve excellent image quality, a large capture area and superior reliability.

Step 1:

Plug the fingerprint reader into a Windows USB port. A blue light will appear where the sensor is located on the reader.

Step 2:

Place and hold a finger on the sensor (reader window). A red “flash” indicates that a fingerprint image has been captured.

Step 3:

The reader quickly and automatically captures and encrypts the fingerprint image for verification.
