How do you control the Nest Thermostat with the Nest app?

The Nest app lets you use your Nest Learning Thermostat remotely, as long as your thermostat is added to your Nest account and connected to the Internet. You can use the Nest app to adjust the temperature from another room or to turn up the heating on your way home from work.

The first thing you need to do is add your Nest Thermostat to your home Wi-Fi and add it to your Nest Account.

Open the Nest app and tap your thermostat on the home screen. You’ll see your current and target temperatures in the Nest app, just as you do on your thermostat. Depending on the type of system you have, you can change the target temperature, set your schedule or see your Energy History.

Note: You will also be able to adjust many of the same settings from your thermostat.

If you want to change your thermostat’s settings with the Nest app:

• Tap your thermostat on the Nest app home screen.
• Tap the Settings icon.
• Here, you can change your settings and view information about your thermostat.
