The DigitalPersona 4500 Reader utilises optical fingerprint scanning technology to achieve excellent image quality, a large capture area and superior reliability. The high-quality metal casing resists unintentional movement.

Software and Compatibility

The DigitalPersona 4500 Fingerprint Reader is designed for use with a full range of HID Global software including their authentication solutions as well as our DigitalPersona Software Development Kits, providing a natural extension to your security system and applications. Step 1:

Plug the fingerprint reader into a Windows USB port. A blue light will appear where the sensor is located on the reader.

Step 2:

Place and hold a finger on the sensor (reader window). A red “flash” indicates that a fingerprint image has been captured.

Step 3:

The reader quickly and automatically captures and encrypts the fingerprint image for verification.
